Between Spindle and Root is my final graduation project at Academie Artemis, bringing together the themes, materials and questions that shaped my practice throughout my studies.
The project explores textile as a carrier of information — a language that existed long before written text. Through repetitive structures and organic forms, I investigate how nature continuously mirrors itself across different scales. Threads, roots, veins, fungi and woven structures become evidence of the interconnectedness between humans, nature and matter.
Presented through garments, imagery and a self-developed zine, the project explores tactility, intimacy and the invisible systems that connect living forms. It reflects on softness, memory and the ability of material to communicate beyond words.
